‘The Deep’ Lands U.K. Broadcaster

Technicolor, an underlying rights holder of “The Deep,” and DHX Media have granted the U.K.’s BBC to air the underwater adventure series on CBBC beginning this March.

Technicolor, an underlying rights holder of “The Deep,” and DHX Media have granted the U.K.’s BBC to air the underwater adventure series on CBBC beginning this March.

“The Deep” is based on the Aurealis Award-winning graphic novel series of the same name. The series follows the adventures of the Nekton family–a team of underwater explorers–as they explore the depths of the ocean and the secrets it holds. The series is targeted toward children ages 6-12 and their families.

CBBC joins “The Deep’s” line-up of broadcast partners including The Seven Network and ABC3 in Australia, Super RTL in Germany, Ketnet in Belgium, NRK in Norwary, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland and Family CHRGD in Canada.

The series originally premiered on Seven Network in November 2015 and on Family CHRGD in January.
