Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, has tapped U.S. toymaker Jakks Pacific for a series of merchandise based on the “DC Super Hero Girls” brand.

Under the multi-year, global licensing deal, Jakks will manufacture and distribute large action pose dolls, everyday dress up products and “Get Ready for Action”-segment items based on the brand and its characters, including Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivey and more.

“This groundbreaking franchise continues to expand and we’re thrilled for Jakks Pacific to join the global licensing program,” says Julian Montoya, vice president, global toys, WBCP. “With its new ‘DC Super Hero Girls’ toy line inspired by the iconic female DC Super Heroes, kids will be empowered to get into the larger-than-life action.”

Jakks’ “DC Super Hero Girls” line will be available at retail this fall.

“We’re excited that Warner Bros. Consumer Products, with DC Entertainment, have chosen Jakks to partner on the all-new ‘DC Super Hero Girls’ franchise,” says Jill Nordquist, senior vice president, Jakks Pacific. “Our full range of products will inspire kids to break boundaries and to discover their inner hero through play.”
