The League, a European industry network offering global insight, strategy and creative solutions to family brands, has announced the appointment of Davide Galante as international business development director. The hire of the former RCS Mediagroup and Google executive comes on the back of a busy quarter for The League’s five current agencies which include Kids Industries (U.K.), Com des Enfants (France), KB&B (Germany), Kulta (Italy) and The Modern Kids & Family (Spain).

“I’m delighted to be working with such a fantastic and focused group of agencies in The League,” says Galante. “I’ll be leveraging my extensive family market experience as I look to build the brand. There’s a lot of brand work out there and our portfolio is already incredibly strong – we’re currently working with the likes of McDonald’s, LEGO Group, Amazon Kids+, Sony Music and so many others, so we’re in a great position to go out there and expand into new markets.”

Prior to setting up his own business, World Funk Picture, where he provided clients such as UEFA, DHL and Volkswagen with a roadmap to grow their business via data, analytics, AI, content, martech and adtech, Galante was a director at RCS Mediagroup, an international multimedia publishing group based in Italy. There he was responsible for all the children and family omnichannel marketing services for brands including Corriere della Sera, Sfera Editore, Io e il mio bambino, Quimamme.it and Style Piccoli.

“We’re hugely excited to have Davide join The League,” says Gary Pope, chief executive officer and co-founder, Kids Industries. “His background in the family space is impressive as is his data-driven approach to marketing and insight. With an extensive network of clients and broad experience in pan-European business development, he is the ideal person to develop and expand our network of hyper-specialist agencies further.”
