Licensing agency is on board to support the children’s series in nearly all markets.

CJ E&M has tapped CPLG to represent its new preschool series “Rainbow Ruby” in all territories, excluding Asia and Latin America.

CPLG will now create a licensing program that highlights the series’ key themes–friendship, fun, adventure, problem solving and imagination. It will also reflect the aspirational themes in the series as Ruby, the show’s heroine, proves children can be anything they want to be.

“We are thrilled to be working on ‘Rainbow Ruby,’ which will inspire a new generation of girls around the world,” says Steve Manners, executive vice president, CPLG. “The themes, characters and backgrounds are magical and colorful and a gift for the creation of imaginative and creative products. We hope to be able to confirm key licensing partners soon with product launches earmarked for late 2017.”

“Rainbow Ruby” follows the adventures of 6-year-old Ruby as she takes viewers on a magical journey in every episode to Rainbow Village, a land where her toys come to life. Once in Rainbow Village, she transforms herself into whatever profession she needs to be to take on the job that will help save the day.

“We are very excited to partner with CPLG on ‘Rainbow Ruby,’” says Dongsik Shin, senior vice president, CJ E&M. “We believe that Ruby will touch the heart of children worldwide and help them make their dreams come true. We expect that 2017 will shine with ‘Rainbow Ruby.’”
