The Coolabi Group produced a pop-up “Clangers” experience in Battle Bridge Place, King’s Cross N1C, May 21, to help launch the series’ new episodes on CBeebies.

New episodes of the preschool program launched in conjunction with the event.

The Coolabi Group produced a pop-up “Clangers” experience in Battle Bridge Place, King’s Cross N1C, May 21, to help launch the series’ new episodes on CBeebies.

The pop-up activation allowed families to call the Clangers via a pink knitted London phone box, which was created by U.K. yarnstormer Deadly Knitshade (Lauren O’Farrel) and crafter Teasemade (Sami Teasdale).

Once inside the booth, a special pink phone connected participants to the international space exchange before being introduced to the Clangers by the show’s narrator Michael Palin. Once connected, participants were given the opportunity to guess the message that Tiny “whistled” to them.

“Clangers” costume characters were also on hand at the event to keep guests entertained with dances, stickers and activity sheets.

Once the event was over, the message whistled message “be kind to each other” was revealed in a video narrated by Michael Palin on social media.

New episodes of “Clangers” launched on CBeebies, May 23. The new series will continue to follow Major, Mother, Small, Tiny and Granny Clanger on a raft of new adventures.
