Jaroo.com, Cookie Jar Entertainment’s streaming video destination for kids, is hitting the mobile scene. Cookie Jar has partnered with Brainstorm Communications and SyncTV to launch a Jaroo app for the iPhone and iPad. An Android app will roll out later this month.

The Jaroo app features more than 50 full-length episodes of Cookie Jar series, including “The Doodlebops,” “Strawberry Shortcake,” “Johnny Test,” “Inspector Gadget” and “Super Mario Brothers.”

“Mobile devices are quickly becoming the center of the media universe for today’s kids,” says Kenneth Locker, senior vice president of digital media at Cookie Jar Entertainment. “With the demand for kids-focused mobile content, apps and advertising growing rapidly we feel it is the right moment for Cookie Jar to enter the market and Jaroo, with its diverse array of shows, is the perfect product offering.”
