EUROPE–Cartoon Network EMEA has signed on an assortment of fashion partners, spanning high-street to high-end, to deliver a series of new apparel items inspired by “The Powerpuff Girls.”

First, the trend-led e-tailer Daisy Street is on board to launch a line of women’s apparel that includes t-shirts, jumpers and sweatshirts. The range will be available through the company’s own website as well as through ASOS, New Look and Zalando.

CN is also partnering with Spanish fashion label Lefties and Commerciale Campana is developing a kids’ footwear collection.

The new lines are set to launch in their respective markets this January.

Additional partners include CYP Imports for fashion bags and SunCity for kidswear and accessories in Iberia; Tvoe for direct-to-retail ladieswear in Russia; Cookie for kidswear, womenswear and accessories in Benelux; and Sahinler for kidswear, ladieswear and accessories in France.

Meanwhile, as part of London Fashion Week, Fyodor Golan will showcase its “Powerpuff Girls”-themed fall/winter collection during a catwalk event on Saturday, Sept. 23. The designer will also host a pop-up store that will feature key items from the line, which is now available worldwide at high-end boutiques and department stores.

“We believe that ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ has real potential to become an evergreen fashion brand, thanks to its relevance, broad commercial appeal and strong social credentials,” says Johanne Broadfield, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA. “What’s more, the rich and vibrant look of the brand allows us to live up to the growing consumer hype through exciting and highly creative partnerships across every retail tier.”
