Turner CN Enterprises has partnered with Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group to create a new Cartoon Network theme park experience in the Middle East.

The Cartoon Network Zone will be one of four areas in the IMG Theme Park in the United Arab Emirates, an indoor facility that will span 1.2 million square feet when completed.

“We are delighted to partner with IMG Group to bring the much-loved family of characters from the Cartoon Network stable to life,” says Alan Fenwick, vice president, TCNE. “We are very excited about the themed attractions and live events. IMG Group, along with design agency Falcon’s Treehouse, has consistently demonstrated a wonderful knowledge of our brands in developing innovative and immersive brand experiences we know our fans and the world will love.”

Featuring brands such as Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball and Adventure Time, the new facility will include a number of firsts for CN’s brands–in addition to featuring the first world’s first themed attractions for The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time and LazyTown, the IMG Theme Park will also feature the world’s largest Ben 10 retail store and the first-ever Ben 10 5D ride.

“The Middle East is fast becoming a major international destination for family tourism and the IMG Theme Park in Dubai is a concentrated hub of high-octane entertainment,” says Alan Musa, general manager and vice president, Turner Broadcasting Systems Arabia. “This latest venture with IMG Group will enable families from all over the globe to engage with their best loved Cartoon Network brands, providing visitors with an unforgettable experience they can treasure for years. The park will be fully supported by the Cartoon Network Arabic TV channel and website, both of which have grown considerably in terms of fans throughout the Middle East since being launched in October 2010.”
