Linked to Cartoon Network Imagination Studios, a newly launched online destination where kids can discover what goes into the making of their favorite cartoons, the competition provides the opportunity for kids ages 6 to 12 to use the platform for their own creations, whether it be anew character, story, storyboard or a short film or animation.

The competition will run through Dec. 1 and entries will be reviewed a judging panel of experts from Cartoon Network, the British Film Institute and Children & the Arts, the U.K. charity for inspiring and engaging children through arts activities.

“We often receive fan art and story ideas inspired by our shows, so we wanted to create a destination to encourage and facilitate all the amazing creativity stored in the minds of our young audiences," says Patricia

Hidalgo, senior vice president and chief content and creative officer, kids, Turner Broadcasting, Cartoon Network’s parent company. "Cartoon Network Imagination Studios is a place where kids can learn, gain inspiration, have fun and, ultimately, be themselves. It promotes the value of being different and, in turn, creating something unique. What’s more, this competition offers kids the ultimate reward for their work–the chance to experience what it’s like to have their creations on the television for all their friends and family to see. Needless to say we’re very excited to see the entries we receive.”
