Fans can earn rewards, content by scanning iconic Chiquita banana labels.

Universal Studios and Chiquita have teamed for an interactive promotion featuring the Minions and powered by FunMobility.

Launched eight weeks ago, the campaign uses image recognition to allow fans to connect with digital Minions content and enter a sweepstakes by scanning labels on Chiquita bananas.

FunMobility also launched the Chiquita “FanFun” app in conjunction with the campaign where fans can play games, explore banana recipes and win prizes including movie tickets.

“The Chiquita banana stickers are the most visible branded fruit packaging in grocery stores," says Adam Lavine, founder, FunMobility. "Our goal was to capitalize on this brand recognition and make a digital connection to the popular Minions that are dominating headlines this summer. There has been an amazing response to the mobile games, real-time engagement and overall experience.”
