Challenge TV has acquired two more seasons of the iconic darts game show “Bullseye,” which will begin airing Saturday.

The deal was brokered by Bulldog Licensing.

Originally presented by comedian Jim Bowen, “Bullseye” was a huge hit with U.K. audiences with its mixture of darts and general knowledge questions. The show ran on the ITV network of channels from 1981 to 1995.

Challenge TV, which broadcasts “Bullseye” every week, has bought seasons six and nine of the classic show, which it will add to its existing output.

“The fact that Challenge TV is adding to its existing ‘Bullseye’ programming is indicative of just how popular this brand is,” says Rob Corney, managing director, Bulldog Licensing. “It’s huge fun, it’s gloriously retro and everyone has a soft spot for ‘Bullseye,’ so it’s no surprise we are dealing with so much interest in the property.”

The show’s continuing appeal extends beyond TV screen with U.K. National Lottery company Camelot seeing huge sales of scratch cards and an online instant win games based on the brand and Poeticgem on board for apparel.
