CBS Consumer Products has unveiled the first licensing partners for the new Showtime series “Penny Dreadful,” a psychological thriller set in Victorian London.

Licensees Titan Books and Bif Bang Pow! will set the foundation for a concentrated merchandising campaign.

“‘Penny Dreadful’ reflects a unique aesthetic and our partners have captured this distinct vision,” says Liz Kalodner, executive vice president and general manager, CBS Consumer Products. “This program continues a legacy of strong merchandising programs for Showtime programming and we know it’s going to resonate with fans.”

Titan Books will publish special editions of the classic novels that inspired the “Penny Dreadful” series. Deluxe hardcover editions of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Oscar Wilde’s A Picture of Dorian Gray are available exclusively through the Showtime store this month, and will roll out to bookstores and other online retailers in September.

Titan Books will also publish The Art and Making of Penny Dreadful, which goes behind the scenes to unearth the show's secrets and dissect every aspect of the production. The Art and Making of Penny Dreadful will be available in April 2015 on the Showtime online store.

Bif Bang Pow! has introduced a deck of tarot cards inspired by the ones used throughout the series and two action figures of Ethan Chandler (played by Josh Hartnett) and Vanessa Ives (played by Eva Green).

Additional character action figures will be available in late summer, and apparel, jewelry, drinkware, phone cases and episodic-themed merchandise will roll out throughout the season and beyond.
