CBBC has commissioned Dot To Dot Productions to produce “Art Ninja,” a new, factual entertainment series to be hosted by animator Ricky Martin that will premiere this fall.

The show will blend art with a sitcom premise and follows Martin in a hyper-kinetic version of his own life. Martin will make art you can recreate in your own home while trying to avoid the distractions of everyday.

“We hope ‘Art Ninja’ inspires a whole new generation of young artists to see there’s art everywhere, and they too can create it,” says Jo Killingley, executive producer, Dot to Dot. “The series is about ideas and having fun–everyone can be an artist with ‘Art Ninja.’ ”
