Network plans new digital service that will feature short-form content.

Cartoon Network EMEA will soon launch a digital service, "Cartoon Network Anything," which allows viewers and users to tailor their entertainment offerings.

The free app will be available across iOS and Android platforms and will roll out at the end of the month.

The app will include games, activities, trivia and clips that are viewable in 10- to 15-second bits and will be constantly refreshed. The content will be delivered randomly, but aligned with each market’s linear programming schedule. The platform will also premiere original IP, trialed earlier this year through the launch of “Mighty Magiswords.”

“'Cartoon Network Anything' is an innovative way to reinterpret what it means to be a network on various platforms,” says Patricia Hidalgo, senior vice president and chief content officer, kids, Turner Broadcasting System EMEA. “The small screen was the focus from the beginning, both with regards to the content itself and its delivery method–and the result is an experience that feels entirely natural to the medium, to fans of our channel and Cartoon Network as a whole. This is a one-of-a-kind service that has proven a great success in the U.S. over the past year and we’re excited to now be bringing it to fans of the channel in EMEA.”
