Build-A-Bear, Hello Kitty to Open Collaborative Workshop in LA
New workshop will feature exclusive holiday designs.
Build-A-Bear Workshop is set to open its first Hello Kitty-themed workshop on Nov. 15 at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. The new Build-A-Bear x Hello Kitty & Friends Workshop, created in partnership with Sanrio, celebrates Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary and invites fans to experience personalized shopping with exclusive Hello Kitty-themed products.
The workshop will feature pink aprons, branded shopping bags and more to enhance guests’ experiences. A grand opening event on Nov. 15 will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Hello Kitty and a special gift for the first 50 attendees.

Alongside the new workshop, Sanrio-themed holiday designs will be available at Build-A-Bear locations and online. These include a Red Bow Hello Kitty plush, holiday-themed outfits and a Merry My Melody exclusive available at Buildabear.com.
This new workshop reflects a new chapter in a long-standing collaboration between Build-A-Bear and Sanrio. Since the partnership began, over three million Hello Kitty plush items have been sold.
