“Brawl Stars,” Supercell’s mobile game, is celebrating Valentine’s (aka Brawlentine’s) Day with a special cinematic short featuring the Boyz II Men song, “On Bended Knee.” In the short, we see the softer side of Rico, a gumball machine robot known best for his super-fire bullets, as he becomes lovestruck on a lonely, rainy night. Will love last, or will it be shattered by a giant with a hammer?
Supercell’s in-house creative team and long-time partner, Psyop, are behind the Brawlentine’s Day cinematic. Together, the two have worked on prior animations in a similar style.
