Bravado, Rock N Roll Originals Team for Music Merch in India

The two have partnered to release Bravado Artist merchandise in India.

Rock N Roll Originals, one of India’s biggest online music merch stores curated by the Bangalore Open Air festival, has partnered with Universal Music’s Bravado, Germany to release Bravado Artist merchandise in India.

Bravado works closely with new and established entertainment clients to create products tailored to each artist or brand. Product is sold on live tours, via select retail outlets and through web-based stores. Bravado also licenses rights to an extensive network of third-party licensees around the world.

Founder and promoter of Bangalore Open Air, Salman U. Syed, has long stated that India has been a fairly untapped market for merchandising due to the absence of a viable ecosystem for rock and heavy metal merchandise. The market has been flooded with bootleggers, and original merchandise is either expensive to import or the designs are not easily available, until now.

This project has been in the works for a long time, and the two started working on it in earnest once lockdown started. Bands to be released include Kreator, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate & more. The partnership will be able to provide genuine licensed merchandise at an affordable cost to all rock and metal fans in India.

“It’s great that with Rock N Roll Originals we now have a partner in India for authorized Merch of our artists,” says Michael Hahn, general manager, Bravado. “We will soon expand the partnership with more artists.”
