Netflix original series scores licensing agent ahead of its summer debut.

Guru Studios has appointed Brand Central as its exclusive licensing agency for its new CGI animated preschool series “True and the Rainbow Kingdom.”

Brand Central will now aim to develop a licensing program that reflects the program’s whimsical and aspirational themes.

“Brand Central’s enthusiasm for the property was clear from the moment they approached us, and we’re excited to begin working with their fantastic and committed team and with all future licensees creating consumer products based on this groundbreaking CGI series and to help share True’s timely message of joy, empathy and empowerment with children around the world,” says Frank Falcone, president, Guru Studios.

“True and the Rainbow Kingdom” follows 8-year-old True and her best friend, Bartleby the cat, as they help the whimsical citizens of the Rainbow Kingdom solve problems and more by utilizing True’s ability to activate the powers of the wishing tree.

“It’s rare to have the opportunity to work with such a creative, magical and emotional preschool property such as ‘True and the Rainbow Kingdom,’” says Ross Misher, chief executive officer, Brand Central. “It’s a privilege to join such an amazing team including Guru (“Paw Patrol”), Pharrell Williams and i am OTHER (“Hidden Figures”) and Bill Schultz’ Home Plate Entertainment (“The Simpsons”), and the world-renowned iconic artists FriendsWithYou. With such a strong team, substantial commitment of episodes from Netflix, and beautiful stories and art, this property has all of the elements of a huge consumer products program.”

“True and the Rainbow Kingdom” is set to premiere on Netflix this summer.
