HIT Entertainment, a division of Mattel, is bringing back PBS series “Bob the Builder” with updated CGI-animation, a brand-new look, new voices and a slate YouTube shorts.

The 3-minute animated shorts will debut first, hitting the dedicated Bob the Builder U.S. YouTube channel today. The updated series will hit television Aug. 21 and also feature Joanne Froggatt (“Downton Abbey”), who will voice new character Wendy.

Bob’s updated look will be in the same spirit audiences are familiar with, but will now include a hi-vis jacket.
