GLOBAL–Rocket Licensing, which manages the U.K. licensing program for the Hotel Transylvania franchise on behalf of Sony Pictures Animation, has unveiled a series of expansion plans for the franchises’ licensing program ahead of its third film and the first season of “Hotel Transylvania: The Series.”

For the U.K. territory, Rocket plans to target a score of categories in the period during and following the franchise’s third installment. Early target categories include apparel, dress up, footwear, publishing and back-to-school stationery and bags. Additional categories that will be added ahead of the 2018 holiday season include greeting cards, calendars, bedding, jewelry, accessories, gifts and confectionery. Furthermore, the franchise’s major characters, most notably Mavis (the daughter of Dracula), will inspire product themes and imagery.

In addition, Sony Pictures Consumer Products recently named Jazwares as the global master toy partner for the franchise.

“With strong TV and film exposure over the next two years, it’s clear that the Hotel Transylvania franchise is looking forward to a very high and continued level of awareness,” says Rob Wijeratna, joint managing director, Rocket Licensing. “The U.K. licensing campaign has been carefully planned to meet the expected strong demand for a wide range of product inspired by this clever, funny and exciting brand.”

Hotel Transylvania 3 is set to launch in summer 2018. Meanwhile, “Hotel Transylvania: The Series” recently launched on The Disney Channel.
