Pokémon International shines a light on the latest licensing deals and retail activations at the climax of the giant 25-year celebrations.

Pokémon, the card and video game that built an empire, is still a leading name for several generations of fans. Named the fastest growing NPD property in the U.K. toy market, with toy sales up 109% (Oct. 21) and with new games ready to launch, including remasters “Pokémon Brilliant Diamond” and “Pokémon Shining Pearl,” the brand is lining up new partnerships to close the 25th anniversary in style.
French luxury crystal brand Baccarat will create a limited-edition Pikachu Fragment, Pikachu figures and Poke Ball. Jazwares, in partnership with distributor Character Options, will launch a Pokémon Carry Case Volcano Playset alongside 25-year celebration plush and figurines. Mattel’s Mega Construx brand will introduce a Celebration Pikachu. Ravensburger will launch a new strategy game, Pokét mon Labyrinth, and the Premier Ball, the latest die-cast from The Wand Company, has launched on Cyber Monday, Nov. 29.
Deluxe Pokémon advent calendars are releasing in time for the holidays from Jazwares and, following on from the Pokémon 25: The Album launch featuring music from Post Malone, J Balvin and Katy Perry, Jax Jones will be releasing a video for his Pokémon-inspired song “Phases.”
Exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe Virtual (Tue, Nov. 30 – Wed, Dec. 1), The Pokémon Company International is starting 2022 with the launch of a new video game, “Pokémon Legends: Arceus.”
