BBC Worldwide has secured new partners for the CBeebies series “Something Special,” a daily TV show that features star Justin Fletcher, his alter ego Mr. Tumble and encourages children to explore the world around them.

Master toy licensee Golden Bear will expand its toy ranges with new products set to hit shelves in August including a 3D backpack and puzzle. The products follow the range’s successful launch last fall.

Egmont Publishing has been named master publishing partner and will launch five titles in August including an annual, two novelty books and two activity titles; Kinnerton will produce seasonal confectionery and will roll out a range of Something Special advent calendars, miniature figures and Easter eggs; and Inspiration Works will launch an electronic learning tablet in fall/winter

“We always knew that the show, and Justin’s popularity, would mean that product extensions were going to be a hit with preschoolers but we were delighted with the response,” says Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager, BBC Worldwide. “Now we’re pleased to be able to announce new licensees–Egmont, Kinnerton and Inspiration Works. We’re also really looking forward to Golden Bear’s new and exciting ranges.”
