BBC Worldwide, in conjunction with SME London, will produce a new, outdoor live event in the U.K.–“Countryfile Live.”

The first “Countryfile Live” will take place in Aug. 4-7, 2016, at Blenheim Palace, which is home of the 12th Duke and Duchess Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.

Derived from the popular British factual TV series of the same name, working in partnership with the National Trust and key rural organizations, “Countryfile Live” will bring elements of the series to live audiences, enabling attendees to explore aspects of the British countryside through hands-on activities, talks and interactive features.

“Bringing ‘Countryfile’ to the public in this unique way is something that we’ve wanted to do for ages–we are really excited about bringing fans even closer to one of the most loved shows on the BBC–an Aladdin’s cave of countryside-related content which we can’t wait for the audience to explore at close quarters,” says Stephen Davies, director of live events, BBC Worldwide.

“Countryfile” has been on-air weekly since 1988.

Tickets for the event will go on sale later this year.
