The BBC has acquired a fourth season of Silvergate Media’s preschool show “Octonauts,” consisting of 24 x 11-minute episodes and two 22-minute specials.

The BBC was the first broadcaster to air Octonauts in 2010 and the show has broadcast continuously on the channel since.

“CBeebies’ continuous broadcast and support has provided a solid foundation for the Octonauts brand to grow from strength to strength,” says Geraint Marsh, senior vice president, global TV distribution and consumer products, Americas and France, Silvergate Media. “Our creative team, along with Brown Bag Films, are working on some fantastic new adventures which stay true to the core Octonauts values of fast-paced adventure mixed with solid science curriculum.”
