Sixty-year-old mascot Bazooka Joe is getting a makeover with the help of top tier illustrators and his fans.

Bazooka Candy Brands, a division of Topps, has tapped four top artists to develop a range of potential new looks for the bubble gum character.

Designs will be shared weekly at BazookaJoe.com. Fans can then weigh in and vote for their favorite.

Visitors to the site can also enter for a chance to win one-of-a-kind Joe-branded gear such as gaming consoles, skate decks and more using codes found in their Bazooka wrappers.

The re-imagined Bazooka Joe will be unveiled in June, with new comics featuring the new Joe and new jokes to follow later this year.

“Bazooka Joe is an American icon and important part of our brand’s heritage," says Nicole Rivera, senior brand manager, Bazooka Candy Brands. "Over the past two years, as we have evolved the brand, consumers have responded and sales have surged. Reimagining Bazooka Joe was the ultimate step in the Bazooka brand revitalization, and we expect to see continued growth and excitement as a result."
