Brandberry’s latest brand will also inspire a robust assortment of collectible character toys.

GLOBAL–Following the success of the web series “Poopeez,” Basic Fun! is collaborating with Brandberry for a new animated digital series, “Cake Pop Cuties” with a line of slow-rise toys slated to follow in early 2018.

The new brand capitalizes on food and online trends, and was brought to life through a partnership with executive producer Matt Wexler of Wexler Media and Blackstone Studios, the company behind “Paw Patrol” and “Smosh Babies.”

Online webisodes will launch this month, with a collectible toy line debuting at retailers across the globe in January.

“The popularity of slow-rise toys has been blowing up, and with ‘Cake Pop Cuties,’ we’re excited to bring this hot trend to the small doll collectibles space,” says Hugh Kennedy, senior vice president, marketing, Basic Fun! “The visually-rich 3D animation and adorable cast of characters in our toy line will be sure to delight any child with a love for collecting cute animals and squishy, sweet treats.”
