Barbour, Shaun the Sheep Reunite for Holiday Campaign
New campaign will feature a stop-motion film and limited-edition Shaun the Sheep Re-loved jackets.
Barbour and Shaun the Sheep have reunited for a new campaign promoting the gift of warmth this winter season. The lifestyle and heritage British brand, known for its outdoor apparel, has partnered with Aardman to create a stop-motion film featuring Shaun the Sheep and his friends. This collaboration builds on last year’s successful campaign, where Shaun’s flock helped mend The Farmer’s waxed jacket. This year’s campaign, created by Aardman at its Bristol studio, follows Bitzer, the loyal dog, as he leads a choir of Shaun and his flock through Christmas carols. When the winter cold takes a toll on their singing, Bitzer rushes to bring Barbour hats and scarves for the flock, wrapping them in warmth and helping them finish their carol on a high note.
As part of the campaign, Barbour has produced 30 Shaun the Sheep-inspired Re-loved jackets, following the partnership with Glastonbury and Oxfam earlier in the year. Each jacket is unique, featuring faux shearling linings, Shaun the Sheep details and Barbour’s quality craftsmanship. These jackets will be available through Oxfam stores and Barbour’s website, with all proceeds supporting Oxfam’s charitable efforts. Some jackets will be hidden in Oxfam shops across the U.K. for fans to discover.
“After the success of last year’s campaign, we are excited to be collaborating with Aardman for another year,” says Paul Wilkinson, group commercial director, Barbour. “A British brand that shares our core values of craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality. The Barbour and Aardman customer is multigenerational, which was a big part of the inspiration behind this campaign. This year, we are pleased to support Oxfam, giving 30 people the opportunity to purchase a unique, limited-edition Barbour x Shaun the Sheep Re-loved wax jacket with all proceeds going to the charity.”
“We’re delighted to launch the next festive Shaun the Sheep adventure for Barbour,” says Rachael Peacock, senior brand manager, Aardman. “These iconic British brands share strong values of quality, craft and a shared love of the outdoors. Shaun and the flock have never looked better than in Barbour.”
