The Australian children’s band Lah-Lah is going global with plans for a new preschool series for CBeebies channels worldwide (excluding the U.K.) and The Seven Network Australia.

Stella Projects in Australia and Bardel Entertainment in Canada will co-produce the series, which was commissioned by the Canadian broadcasters Knowledge Network and BBC Kids.

The series, “Lah-Lah’s Adventures” will follow the exploits of lead singer Lah-Lah and band members Buzz and Lola, Squeezy Sneezy, Tom Tom and Mister Saxophone. With a combination of live-action and animation, the band will introduce kids to the world of music and instruments of all shapes and sizes.

Stella Licensing has been appointed as the global master licensing agent for the property and Bardel Distribution will handle global TV and home video distribution.

“Lah-Lah has been delighting kids in Australia with their lively, engaging and educational performances,” says Deirdre Brennan, director of content, BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand. “I’m pleased that CBeebies is able to showcase these talented Australian musicians, from the stage of the Sydney Opera House to a worldwide audience through our CBeebies global channels.”
