Mercis and Telescreen (part of the m4e group of companies) have sold the TV series “Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small” to ABC4Kids and Dutch public broadcaster KRO.

The new TV series marks the first time Dick Bruna’s classic characterhas ever appeared in CGI. Developed by London-based animation studio Blue-Zoo, the series is already in production, with delivery expected in the fall of 2015.

Featuring 52 episodes of seven minutes, the new series is the sequel to the successful “Miffy and Friends" stop-motion series, which aired in more than 70 countries from 2003.

“Both broadcasters are our long-term partners, having aired the previous ‘Miffy and Friends,’ so we’re delighted with their instant commitment to the new CGI show,” says Frank Padberg, business development manager, Mercis.
