Production and distribution company Palatin Media has tapped German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk/ARD to air the two-hour film, L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables, in the region.

Anne of Green Gables, which is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel, tells the story of a young girl who comes from an orphanage and is placed in the care of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert by mistake.

The two-hour film is produced by Breakthrough Entertainment, in conjunction with Corus Entertainment’s YTV and the author’s granddaughter, Kate Macdonald Butler.
