Cult TV series snags first direct-to-retail range with the mall-based novelty retailer.
Retail Monster, which represents A+E networks’ retail and merchandising program, brokered the direct-to-retail deal.
The new product line will include a range of apparel, accessories and novelty items, and is expected to launch in select Spencer’s stores across and the U.S. and Canada, as well as online, later this year.
The agreement also marks the series’ first direct-to-retail range.
“As fan enthusiasm for ‘Ancient Aliens’ continues to move from strength to strength, we are thrilled to partner with a retail trend leader like Spencer’s to develop a product line around the property’s totally unique appeal,” says Jill Tully, vice president, A+E Networks Brand Licensing. “From science fiction to memes, the range of merchandise is a really fun way to extend the brand.”
