“Lost in Oz” is an animated, action-adventure comedy that follows the story of Dorothy Gale after she discovers her mother’s magical travel journal from Oz hidden beneath the floorboards in their Kansas home. The book triggers a tornado, rips her house from its foundation and transports her and her dog, Toto, to Oz. After learning she will need to acquire every magical element in Oz to get home, Dorothy embarks on an adventure with her new friends West, a street-smart witch, and Ojo, a half-Munchkin.
The animated adventure was originally part of Amazon’s 2016 pilot season and the new special will include the original pilot as well as 40 minutes of new content for an extended adventure.
A full season of “Lost in Oz” will debut in 2017.
