Wicked Cool to create comprehensive toy range for new series.
The series, which debuted on Nickelodeon in April, offers a fresh take on the classic adventures of Alvin, Theodore, Simon and the Chipettes. The show is created, written and directed by Janice Karman, who along with her husband Ross Bagdasarian, are the owners and voices of the "Chipmunks" franchise. The duo also served as producers of the classic 1980s TV series and three subsequent
Chipmunks
movies. A fourth film,
The Road Chip
, is due in theaters this holiday season.
Wicked Cool will develop a diverse line of toys including a voice changer microphone, fully articulated figures, play sets, remote control items, plush and more, that will hit retail summer/fall 2016.
