A+E Networks and Titan Publishing are collaborating for original novels and an eight-part comic book series based on History’s new scripted drama, “Knightfall,” which centers on the elite and mysterious military order, the Knights Templar.

Under the licensing agreement, Titan Publishing will work closely with History and series creators to craft original stories that expand the world of “Knightfall” into new adventures and cross over storylines.

“We are excited to be partnering with Titan Publishing to expand the ‘Knightfall’ universe at the same time enthusiasm for the series builds,” says Jill Tully, vice president, brand licensing, A+E Networks. “The publishing category is a key part of our early licensing program for ‘Knightfall,’ as books and comic books will help accentuate the mythology featured in the series while enhancing the viewing experience for fans throughout the season."

The first two novels and comic book series will debut alongside the upcoming series launch, and will be available online and at comic and independent bookstores everywhere. Additionally, the comic book series will be compiled in two bound collections available in the graphic novel section of book sellers.

“We are thrilled to be working with History following on from the success of our two ‘Vikings’ comic book series,” says Chris Teather, publishing director, Titan Comics. “We promise to bring the same visceral action as you see on screen onto the printed page.”
