Aardman Animations has partnered with the German Filmmuseum in Frankfurt, Germany, to open an exhibition that showcases the studio’s work, titled The Art of Aardman.
The new exhibition will feature more than 120 concept drawings, character and background studies, watercolors and storyboards, as well as numerous screens that will highlight 30 short and feature films and advertisements from the last 40 years.
Additionally, the exhibit will highlight properties “Wallace & Gromit” and Wallace’s contraptions along with Gromit’s vegetable garden, sets from Shaun the Sheep: The Movie and Chicken Run and a range of artwork.
The Art of Aardman is the first major exhibition in Germany to exhibit the work of the studio and is aimed toward a family audience, says Aardman.
The exhibition is now open at the German Filmmuseum, and will run through Oct. 30.
