Carrefour, Alcampo, Argos, The Entertainer and more are on board to release the brand’s new toy range.
Cartoon Network EMEA has tapped a number of partners to roll out its extensive “Powerpuff Girls” toy range throughout the EMEA region.
The merchandise rollout is being spearheaded by the global master toy range from Spin Master with fashion, accessories, gifting, homewares, personal care, FMCG and back-to-school products following soon.
In the United Arab Emirates, the toy range, which includes play sets and plush, launched exclusively at Toy Store last November following the debut of the Cartoon Network Zone at IMG Worlds of Adventure in October.
Meanwhile, in the U.K., Argos launched the toy line through its catalogue and online, and The Entertainer also introduced the range in its stores and online. In Spain, retailers such as Carrefour, Alcampo and Eroski, El Corte Inglés, Toys “R” Us, Juguettos, Toy Planet, Mapa, Dimasa, Poly and more are set to release “The Powerpuff Girls” toys this month.
“With its credibility and heritage already firmly established with moms and millennials, ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ is perfectly positioned to capitalize on the current ‘Girl Power’ trend that is taking the toy industry by storm,” says Johanne Broadfield, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises EMEA. “We’re delighted to see retailers across the region share our enthusiasm and passion for the property–through shelf space allocation, as well as comprehensive marketing support. ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ is well on its way to becoming top of mind with girls in all our key markets.”
Additionally, Cartoon Network EMEA is planning multi-platform engagement initiatives, a cinema campaign and other marketing and retail activations across the region for the brand.
