One Animation is on board to create digital content that celebrates and educates consumers about the sport.
EUROPE–The Australian Football League has teamed up with One Animation for new animated content that highlights Australia’s national game and features the animated series “Oddbods.”
The new, multi-platform campaign, named “AFL Beginner’s Guide to Footy,” aims to teach viewers about the Oz sport through “Oddbods”-branded content across the AFL’s communication platforms. Using exclusive content including three specially created animated pieces, One Animation will aim to use humor to explain the unique rules and culture surrounding the sport.
“The AFL and ‘Oddbods’ are the perfect fit; both brands embrace individuality, fun and teamwork. Partnering with the AFL on this initiative allows us to interact with ‘Oddbods’ fans in a whole new and meaningful way against the exciting backdrop of Australia’s national game,” says Anabel Higgin, marketing director, One Animation.
The new campaign will roll out across stadium screenings, in-school activations, digital channel integration, club and player collaborations, on-ground events.
