Rainbow and its co-production partner Lucky Punch/M4e have sold their girls’ series “Mia and me” to Nick Jr. in the U.S. and Turner in France.
The series premiered on Turner’s Boing in France on March 8 and is set to debut on Nick Jr. in the U.S. May 3.
More than 70 broadcasters in 80 territories have already bought the first season of “Mia and me.” A second season is planned for later this year and a feature film is in the works for 2016.
A full range of merchandise has also been launched in established territories, anchored by a toy line from master licensee Mattel. Other licensing partners include Ravensburger, Egmont, Unilever, Nestle and Panini.
