ZeptoLab has announced two new partnerships for its app game “Cut the Rope”: Poetic Gem will develop an apparel range in the U.K. and Ireland, and Imagine Publications will launch activity books in Canada.
In a deal brokered by ITV Studios Global Entertainment (EU licensing agent), Poetic Gem will develop a range of adult Cut the Rope outerwear and nightwear featuring the app’s signature graphics and bright colors.
“We are very excited about working on a Cut The Rope range,” says Elliott Matthews, executive director, licensed division, Poetic Gem. “It’s a red-hot brand that has already achieved cult status, so apparel will have enormous appeal at retail and is sure to be snapped up by the millions of fans out there.”
In a second deal brokered by the brand’s Canadian agent, Studio Licensing, Imagine Publications will create a line of bilingual and French activity books. The range will include puzzle, board, sticker and coloring books, as well as flash cards and surprise bags. Cut the Rope activity products will be available across Canada in summer 2013.
