WME/IMG has appointed Mark Shapiro and Ioris Francini to serve as co-presidents of the company.

WME/IMG has appointed Mark Shapiro and Ioris Francini to serve as co-presidents of the company.

As co-presidents, Shapiro and Francini will oversee the company’s media, events, fashion (including IMG Models, Art + Commerce and The Wall Group), licensing, global partnerships, original content, IMG College, IMG Academy, The Miss Universe Organization, Professional Bull Riders and Frieze businesses, in addition to the company’s new China subsidiary.

Most recently, Shapiro served as the company’s chief content officer. Prior to joining the company in 2014, he was chief executive officer of Dick Clark Productions. From 2006 to 2010, he served as director, president and chief executive officer of Six Flags Entertainment. He also spent 12 years with ESPN, where he oversaw both production and programming.

Ioris Francini, co-president, WME/IMG

Francini most recently served as president of IMG Media. He joined IMG in 2003 as head of sales for media in Italy before relocating to London in 2007 to lead sales across the EMEA region. In 2012, Francini was promoted to executive vice president of IMG Media and then to president in 2014. Prior to joining IMG, he served as head of legal and business affairs at European film production company MovieWeb.
