Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT), a non-profit organization for the advancement of women, is offering complimentary six-month memberships for individuals who are in between jobs or experiencing unemployment.
“WiT’s mission has always been to help women advance in their careers – including in the moments that don’t go according to plan,” says Janice Ross, president, Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment and managing partner, Brand Fresh Management. “The last 18 months have been a really challenging time for our industry. I know it’s cliché, but now more than ever, we need to be there for each other, and that’s what being a member of WiT is all about.”
In the spirit of WiT’s mission of advancing women through leadership, opportunity, connection and education, the organization offers members a variety of programming and ways to find new opportunities – including the Ruth Handler Mentorship Program for WiT, Job/Candidate Board, WiT Slack Community and career-development programming on resumé writing, interviews, elevator pitch coaching and more.
With unemployment benefits stopped and the pandemic burnout fueling The Great Resignation, a recent Qualtric report revealed that 44% of U.S. workers plan to look for a new job this year, with many job seekers reevaluating their priorities. The report finds that managers, directors and executives are the most likely to leave their job post-pandemic.
WiT is working to bridge The Great Resignation gap. Those interested in taking advantage of the complimentary Job Transition Membership can apply at Womenintoys.com/membership/#individual
