A broader range of licensed products from Panini are set to be available in the Brazilian market. It marks the first activity since an agreement was signed between Panini S.p.A. and Vertical Licensing, the designated agency representing the Panini Brand in the territory.

"Our brand licensing program in Brazil was born under a lucky star," says Mr. Tony Verdini, senior manager business development & partnerships, licensing – Panini S.p.A. "Vertical Licensing has given proof to have a very good understanding of Panini's DNA and has been working hard in garnering interest and developing a solid brand extension program. We are very happy to be working with Alexandre Volpi and his team and we are looking forward to see new licensees on the Panini brand coming on board."

Four deals have already been closed that will bring Panini licensed products to Brazil, with negotiations under way for further collaborations.

Grupo Dass, a Latin American sportswear and sporting goods company, will develop a Panini collection of apparel and accessories with Umbro. The collection will feature a wide range of items such as shirts, pants, sneakers and bags, and will be launched in Brazil and Argentina in November.

Festcolor, company specialized in the party goods market, has launched a dedicated Panini party kit with more than 60 items, including balloons, flags and decorative supplies.
