APMEX, a precious metals retailer, and Konami Cross Media NY have announced the launch of a new series of gold and silver coins based on the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” anime series. 

Konami Cross Media NY will team with APMEX to design coins based on the original “Yu-Gi-Oh!” series and will feature one of the main characters, Yami Yugi, as well as other characters and monsters from the show.  

Launching in the first quarter of 2022, the coin collection will consist of 1-oz. silver “flip coins” as well as silver antiqued and gold versions. Additionally, 1-oz. silver character and monster colorized coins will be offered. 

“This is a great way to commemorate the 25th anniversary of ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!,’” says Jennifer Coleman, vice president, licensing and marketing, Konami Cross Media NY. “APMEX currently has partnerships with several high-profile entertainment brands and we are pleased to be a cornerstone of their anime offerings.” 

The “Yu-Gi-Oh!” gold and silver coins will be available for purchase in the U.S. (including its territories, possessions and commonwealths), Canada, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Cayman Islands, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the U.K.
