IMG Appoints General Counsel for Endeavor’s Experiences

John Cooper is being promoted to general counsel for Endeavor’s experiences, rights and events businesses, overseeing the legal practices of IMG’s media and events groups (inclusive of Professional Bull Riders and IMG ARENA), Endeavor Streaming, 160over90, On Location, IMG Licensing and IMG Performance (inclusive of IMG Academy).

Since joining IMG in 2015, John has drawn on his deep expertise across sports and entertainment media to support Endeavor’s ongoing efforts to deliver deal making across content and events.

Cooper joined the company from Turner Broadcasting, where he was senior vice president and associate general counsel for TBS, TNT, truTV, Turner Classic Movies and Turner Sports, including all of Turner’s television sports programming and sports digital properties like NBA Digital and Bleacher Report. John was also the first-ever team counsel for the Atlanta Braves, Hawks and Thrashers, and was the sole attorney for the Goodwill Games.
