Authentic Brands Group has opened new headquarters in the Colonia Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, Mexico and hired a new executive for Latin America.

ABG Mexico will be dedicated to generating growth opportunities for the company’s portfolio across Mexico, Central and South America. The new location joins ABG’s global footprint that includes offices in New York City, Toronto, Canada, Shanghai, China and Los Angeles, Calif.

The launch of ABG Mexico further broadens the ABG enterprise, whose flagship headquarters are in New York. The company also has offices in Toronto, Shanghai and Los Angeles and will continue to grow its global presence with its expansion into Europe in 2020.

Coinciding with the opening of ABG Mexico, the agency also announced the appointment of Monica Nahúm as vice president of business development for Latin America. Nahúm previously held senior-level positions at Mattel and the Walt Disney Company. In her new role with ABG, she will be responsible for driving ABG’s momentum across Mexico and Latin America by establishing partnerships for its portfolio brands in the marketplace.

“We’re excited to open ABG Mexico, which services incredibly important growth markets for our brands,” says Jamie Salter, founder, chairman and CEO of ABG. “As we continue to expand and interpret our brands for key territories around the world, we are bringing on local expertise to develop tailored approaches that uniquely bring each brand to life for regional consumers. We look forward to diversifying our network of best-in-class partners to harvest the tremendous opportunities that await.”
