Producer and rights management company Coolabi has appointed Valerie Fry to the newly created position of director of sales.
Reporting directly to chief executive officer Jeremy Banks, Fry will be responsible for the commercial exploitation of Coolabi’s key brands and portfolio of properties including Poppy Cat, Purple Ronnie and Scarlett & Crimson.
Most recently Fry served as commercial director at Champan Entertainment, where she managed properties including Fifi and The Flowertots and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. Prior to that, she held also worked as senior commercial manager at Celador and vice president of licensing at Gullane Entertainment where she handled the international development of Thomas the Tank Engine.
“Val has an impressive track record in working on major international brands and she is going to be a great asset to Coolabi,” says Banks. “We are delighted to have secured someone of her caliber as we continue to grow our portfolio and gear up for increased commercial activity both in the U.K. and worldwide.”
