Animation series “YooHoo & Friends,” is continuing to increase its brand presence across the globe.

In YooHoo & Friends’ home of South Korea, there is a comprehensive licensing program in place with an impressive product range

Elsewhere, there are a number of global marketing initiatives planned including a Green Campaign on social network sites, aimed at driving YooHoo fans to become involved with eco activities.

Agency appointments for the brand include m4E in G/A/S, Istanbul Lisans in Turkey, Icon Promotion in Russia and CIS, Lixesa Spain and Portugal; IMC in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay & Bolivia, Philippines, Empire Multimedia in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, Nation Group in Thailand, Skynet in China, Hong Kong and Macau. Appointments shortly to be announced include the remaining Latin America territories and Australia and New Zealand. 

Some of the key licenses include YooHoo Chupa Chups launching in Russia in 2015.  In Turkey, back-to-school products and publishing will launch exclusively in 4,000 BIM stores in Turkey.

The pan-European partnership with Simba Toys continues to thrive with the company's original mini figurine range, launched in 2013, selling more than 1.5 million pieces in Germany alone. The range now boasts new themes for 2014/15. Simba’s line also includes YooHoo branded jigsaws/games, musical instruments, beach toys and functional plush. 

In the U.K., successful sell through in Sainsburys has led to more than 400 stores stocking the Aurora plush. Morrisons is also supporting the range alongside Aurora’s traditional retail customer base. Licenses include Award Publications, Intelex Group for heatable plush, Redan Publishing, Kennedy Publishing and Fashion UK for apparel.

In Germany, magazine publisher Blue Ocean is continuing their commitment to YooHoo with the release of additional standalone titles into 2015.

A pan-European QSR promotion is scheduled for first quarter 2015 following a successful McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion in 2013.
