Sanrio has launched a new character in the Mr. Men Little Miss franchise–Little Miss Hug.

Little Miss Hug, which is the first character to join the property since Sanrio acquired it in December 2011, made her debut at Brand Licensing Europe last week in London.

The new character was created by Sanrio’s London and Tokyo design studios alongside Adam Hargreaves, son of the brand’s creator.

Little Miss Hug will be featured in a classic storybook that will be released in May 2014 with additional product lines to be added throughout the year.
