NORTH AMERICA–Sanrio has re-imagined and re-opened its Sanrio Store at the Japanese Village Plaza in Los Angeles.

The updated retail location has been re-designed to feature a full Sanrio Store in the front–which will feature a range of character-inspired products including stationery, accessories, jewelry, school supplies, home décor and more–as well as a flex space in the back for various pop-up shops, events and installations throughout the year.

The first pop-up experience to take up resident at the store is the Sanrio Kawaii Mart. The convenience store-styled market will feature a variety of character-inspired products ranging from grocery items (such as candy, beverages, soy sauce, cookie mix and more) to everyday products like car accessories, toilet paper, bandages, cosmetics, ice cube molds and more. The Sanrio Kawaii Mart will remain open throughout the fall, before the space is transformed into a new concept.

Additionally, Sanrio will celebrate the store’s official grand re-opening this weekend as part of the Nisei Festival, an annual festival celebrating Japanese and Japanese-American culture and history in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo neighborhood. During the event, fans will be treated to character appearances, special giveaways, character crowns and gifts with purchase, while supplies last.

The Sanrio Store is located at 115 Japanese Village Plaza Mall in Los Angeles and will be open daily.
