Sanrio is planning a series of events to re-launch the Mr. Men Little Miss property in the U.S. this summer.

Sanrio acquired the U.K. brand, which features more than 85 illustrated characters with unique personalities, in 2012.

The re-launch will feature a series of events in Los Angeles, Calif., including a product debut at Ron Robinson Fred Segal, an art show and a creative writing workshop.

On Aug. 10, Sanrio will celebrate the debut of the brand’s official product collection at Ron Robinson Fred Segal in the Mr. Men Little Miss Go to Hollywood event, which is open to the public.

The exclusive capsule collection features fashion t-shirts and knit tops for men, women and kids by Junk Food Clothing. Other products will also be featured including tote bags and backpacks by Loungefly, iPhone cases, giclee prints, stationery and drinkware.

Then on Aug. 25, the iam8bit Gallery will launch the Everybody’s a Somebody Mr. Men Little Miss art show and installation at their Echo Park, Calif. location, which will be on display through Sept. 8. More than 50 artists will showcase their Mr. Men Little Miss-inspired works on mediums ranging from painting to sculpture to hand-sewn plush in the gallery, which will be transformed from floor-to-ceiling into the pages of Mr. Men Little Miss storybooks.

Guests can purchase exclusive products at the pop-up shop. A portion of the proceeds from the two-week event will benefit 826LA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students’ writing skills.

The brand will also partner with 826LA for a creative writing workshop event on Aug. 24 so the entire family can develop their own Mr. Men Little Miss stories and scenes.
